The chickens are FRESH. They must be kept cold until eaten. They will be cold when you pick them up. It is your responsibility to keep them cold while transporting them to their next refrigeration point!
Shannon's newest and best cook book WILL BE AVAILABLE. It is titled A LONG WAY ON A LITTLE. (Now avilable as a e-book, on the Blog, Shannon Hayes)It is a mix of current discussion on agricultural issues, affordability concerns of eating healthier meats, diet concerns such as carb counts, diabetic concerns, paleo eating, legume, gluten, grain and dairy concerns. There are great photos and a great full color section on how to make candles, salves, soaps from natural fats and how to rendor those fats.
Please: Due to the nature of our product, we are not able to set-up well in advance. We MUST organize our display at the last minute to ensure that fresh products remain fresh, and frozen products remain frozen. We ask that you honor our scheduling needs and not come early! If we must interrupt our routine, we won't be ready on time for when the rest of the customers arrive! Thank you so much for supporting this small family farm in a valley on a mountain in the heart of Schoharie
County, New York.
ps: Anyone who does come early will be promptly put to work!
